Reception Security Officer (Office Tower)

The gate at a private school campus in Rustenburg is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a private school campus on the Rustenburg side of North West.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clean criminal record

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Make sure your PSIRA fees are paid. A lapsed registration gets your CV thrown out, even if you have years of experience.
