Assembly Line Worker (Furniture Plant)

You'll keep the line running at a furniture assembly factory in Rosslyn, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Rosslyn, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet

• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• Some basic first-aid training
• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine

• Company transport on some night shifts
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
