Assistant Site Agent (Roads & Stormwater) – Immediate Start

Keep the programme on track, the subbies busy and the site safe for the retail and commercial builder in Pretoria West. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Pretoria West. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date
• Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
• Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
• Check reinforcing, shuttering and cover blocks before calling for a pour inspection
• Plan the week's work from the construction programme and brief the gangs each morning
• Draw up snag lists and close them out before practical completion

• National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
• You can read architectural and structural drawings and pick up clashes
• Firm with labour, fair with subcontractors
• Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act

• Concrete technology short course
• Experience on JBCC or GCC 2015 contracts

• Vehicle allowance or company bakkie
• Project completion bonus linked to handover date
• Cellphone and laptop supplied
