Bakery Production Hand (Early Shift) – Entry Level

Machines set the pace at this furniture assembly factory in Kariega; you keep up and catch the faults. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Kariega. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet

• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets

• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• Some basic first-aid training

• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Path to machine operator after six months

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
