Bakery Production Hand (Early Shift)

Machines set the pace at this industrial bakery in Lephalale; you keep up and catch the faults. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at an industrial bakery in Lephalale. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects

• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Path to machine operator after six months

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
