Job Description

Here in Sandton, a soft drink bottling plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a soft drink bottling plant.

The work, day to day

Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line

You'll need

Available for rotating day and night shifts
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
Neat, reliable and on time for shift start

Helpful, not essential

Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
