Bar Attendant (Weekend Shift)

This is a floor job at a family steakhouse in Pinetown where your tips follow your service. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a family steakhouse on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.

• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Staff meal on every shift
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
