Barista & Floor Waitron – Fixed-Term

You'll look after tables at a family steakhouse in Sandton, from the first greeting to the final bill. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The site is in Sandton; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.

• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Staff meal on every shift
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
