You'll be based at a beachfront cocktail bar in Somerset West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.

• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• Staff meal on every shift
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Uniform supplied and laundered
