Berry Picker (Tunnel Farm) – Immediate Start

Outdoor work with your hands on a vegetable farm near Phalaborwa; no experience needed for most posts. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Phalaborwa (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Follow the re-entry times after spraying, as the signs show
• Weed beds by hand or with a hoe
• Prune and thin fruit trees and vines to the farm's method
• Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
• Move irrigation pipes and check drippers for blockages

• Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders
• Valid ID or work permit
• Follows farm hygiene and safety rules
• Careful with fruit, since bruised fruit is rejected
• Willing to start at sunrise
• Available for the full harvest season

• Tractor or quad bike experience
• Pruning experience on vines or fruit trees

• Farm transport from nearby towns
• Piece-rate bonus on top of daily wage
• Seasonal accommodation on some farms

• Have your bank details ready. Most farms pay into a bank account and will not start you without it.
• If you have picked before, say which crop and how many seasons. Farms rehire experienced pickers first.
