BI Developer (SQL Server and SSIS)

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a retail chain analytics team in Rosslyn. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Rosslyn. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models

• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
• Advanced Excel
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
