Job Description

Steady 12-hour shifts at a distribution warehouse in Durban Central for PSIRA-registered officers. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a distribution warehouse on the Durban Central side of KwaZulu-Natal. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

You'll need

Alert, polite and firm with the public
Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
Physically fit for foot patrols
Clean criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
Firefighting or evacuation training
