Boom Gate Controller (Industrial Park) – Entry Level

The gate at a gated residential estate in Montague Gardens is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Montague Gardens-based, with most of your time spent at a gated residential estate.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
