Boom Gate Controller (Industrial Park)

Steady 12-hour shifts at an office tower in White River for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in White River (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clean criminal record
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Provident fund contributions
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
