Brand Promoter (In-Store Demos)

Shelves sell the product, and at this pet food manufacturer you'll keep them full, neat and priced right. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a pet food manufacturer in Durban Central. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.

• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves

• Speaking two or more local languages
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Product samples and staff pricing
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card

• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
• Recruiters check your licence first, so attach a clear certified copy and note any clean driving record.
