Breakfast Waitron (Hotel Restaurant) – Permanent

This is a floor job at a busy mall coffee shop in Brackenfell where your tips follow your service. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is in Brackenfell (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays

• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
