You'll look after tables at a family steakhouse in Khayelitsha, from the first greeting to the final bill. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Khayelitsha-based, with most of your time spent at a family steakhouse.

• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests

• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills

• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Staff meal on every shift
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
