You'll look after tables at a sports bar and grill in Epping, from the first greeting to the final bill. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.

• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
