Wine Steward (Fine Dining)

You'll look after tables at a busy mall coffee shop in Epping, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a busy mall coffee shop on the Epping side of Western Cape. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.

• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Quick with basic maths and card machines

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly

• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
