Breakfast Waitron (Hotel Restaurant)

You'll look after tables at a busy mall coffee shop in Tembisa, from the first greeting to the final bill. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.

• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint

• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff meal on every shift
