Laundry Attendant (Lodge) – Fixed-Term

Every room at this self-catering resort in Sandton should feel brand new, and you'll make that happen. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.

• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Grade 10 or higher
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience

• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Laundry machine and steam press experience
• Basic first aid certificate

• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Meals on duty

• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
