Job Description

Put your trade to work on the shopping centre extension in Richards Bay, with steady work for the length of the project. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

What you'll actually do

Plaster walls and float them to a smooth, even finish
Build and strip formwork for columns, beams and slabs
Wear your hard hat, boots and harness wherever the foreman says
Mix mortar and plaster to the right ratio for the job
Tile floors, showers and splashbacks, including cutting around fittings

You'll need

Proven experience in at least one trade, shown by references or a practical test
Willing to move between sites in the same city
Safety boots of your own for the first week, if possible
Physically strong enough for a full day of lifting and bending outside
Able to follow a foreman's instructions and read basic measurements

Extra points for

Trade test in bricklaying, carpentry or plastering
CETA or NQF 2 or 3 certificate in your trade
Experience on NHBRC-registered housing projects
