Job Description

Hard outdoor work on a shopping centre renovation in Boksburg, with a chance to learn a trade while you earn. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The work is in Boksburg, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed
Clean tools, mixers and wheelbarrows at the end of each day
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor

What you need

Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
Willing to start early, often at 06:30
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
Grade 8 or higher
