Job Description

Keep the programme on track, the subbies busy and the site safe for the retail and commercial builder in Springs. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a retail and commercial builder on the Springs side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date
Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
Set out foundations, grid lines and levels with the surveyor or a dumpy level
Run toolbox talks and support the safety officer on Construction Regulations compliance
Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and SANS 10400
Book NHBRC and municipal inspections at the right stages

You'll need

Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
Firm with labour, fair with subcontractors
National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites

Helpful, not essential

Worked on CIDB grade 6 or higher projects
Concrete technology short course

On offer
