Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an e-commerce platform in Newcastle. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Newcastle-based, with most of your time spent at an e-commerce platform.

What your day looks like

Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards

What you need

Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

Extra points for

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Docker and Kubernetes experience
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
