Job Description

Get real court exposure and supervision at a legal aid office in Vanderbijlpark while you prepare for board exams. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a legal aid office on the Vanderbijlpark side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Take instructions from clients and write clear attendance notes
Issue and serve documents at the magistrate's court and High Court
Attend court with counsel and take notes during trials
Prepare trial bundles and discovery affidavits
Record your time on the practice management system every day

Must-haves

Good legal research and clear written English
Proficient in Word, Outlook and legal research databases
Clear criminal record, as required for admission
Ready to sign a practical vocational training contract registered with the LPC
Code B driver's licence and a reliable car for court runs
