Job Description

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the food and beverage factory in Rustenburg. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a food and beverage factory on the Rustenburg side of North West. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Design conveyors, chutes and structures in SolidWorks or Inventor
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners

You'll need

Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
Able to manage contractors and budgets
Code 08 licence for site visits
Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting

Helpful, not essential

Project management certificate
Reliability or asset management certification
Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical, Factories)
