Job Description

You'll design and supervise infrastructure people use every day, with the road agency project office in Centurion. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

The work, day to day

Write design reports and handover documents
Check drawings from technicians and sign them for issue
Chair site meetings and handle contractor queries
Design water pipelines, sewers and stormwater systems with hydraulic software
Prepare tender documents under GCC 2015 or NEC contracts
Design reinforced concrete and steel structures to SANS 10100 and SANS 10162
Work out loads to SANS 10160 for buildings and structures

What you need

Code 08 licence and willingness to spend time on site
BEng, BSc Eng or BTech in Civil Engineering
Good grasp of South African design codes for your field
Registered with ECSA as a professional or candidate
