Client Service Officer (Municipal Pay Point)

You'll help walk-in customers at a furniture retail branch in Harrismith, face to face, all day. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Harrismith, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
• Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.

• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching
• Accurate with cash and paperwork
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate

• A Customer Service NQF certificate
• Medical scheme or insurance product knowledge

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead
• Monthly sales incentive on upgrades and add-ons
• Product training and certifications paid for

• Mention any till, cash-up or POS work on your CV; it shows you can be trusted with money.
