Job Description

Customers bring their problems to your counter at a furniture retail branch in Johannesburg CBD, and leave with answers. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a furniture retail branch in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.

You'll need

Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
Matric (Grade 12) certificate
Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
Accurate with cash and paperwork
Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
Retail or customer service experience of at least a year

Helpful, not essential

A Customer Service NQF certificate
RICA and cellular product knowledge
