Job Description

You'll help a pharmacy inside a supermarket in Pretoria East dispense scripts, manage stock and advise patients at the counter. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Pretoria East. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check
Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Explain dosage, storage and side effects to patients in plain language
Record cold-chain fridge temperatures twice a day
Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist

What you need

Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
Accurate with numbers and careful with labels
SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)
Understanding of medical aid claim codes and PMB chronic rules

Helpful, not essential

Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy
Wound care or family planning counselling short course
