Clinical Coder (ICD-10) – Fixed-Term

You'll keep the front of a radiology group in Krugersdorp organised so the doctors can focus on patients. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a radiology group.

• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Keep patient records locked and share them only with written consent
• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Chase short payments with medical schemes and patients
• Answer the phones and send clinical questions to the right nurse or doctor
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions

• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• Matric
• Confident with Excel and email
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge

• Understanding of how HPCSA practitioner and BHF practice numbers are used on claims
• Medical terminology or clinical coding certificate
• Worked for a specialist discipline such as radiology, anaesthesia or orthopaedics
