Job Description

When the network goes down at this internet service provider in Mbombela, you're the one who brings it back. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is an internet service provider on the Mbombela side of Mpumalanga. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills

What you need

At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Clear change management and documentation habits

Nice if you have

ISO 27001 audit experience
Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
