Job Description

Get hands-on support experience at a group of private schools in Middelburg (MP), from password resets to new laptop builds. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Middelburg (MP). Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Write short how-to guides for common user problems

What you need

Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

Extra points for

Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
