Junior IT Technician (Schools) – Entry Level

A group of private schools in Ermelo needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Ermelo-based, with most of your time spent at a group of private schools. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID

• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification

• Standby pay for after-hours cover
