Job Description

Good service at a sports bar and grill in Cape Town CBD starts with you: friendly, quick and on top of every order. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a sports bar and grill.

What you'll actually do

Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.

What you need

You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts

Nice if you have

A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
Responsible Service of Alcohol training
