Job Description

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a school transport operator in Germiston is hiring bus drivers. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a school transport operator in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

What you need

Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Medically fit
Punctual for very early starts
Patient and friendly with passengers

Extra points for

Fluent in more than one language
First-aid certificate
Tour coach experience with charters
