Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a long-haul freight fleet in Soweto is hiring. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Soweto, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

You'll need

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
