Job Description

Steady shift work with a school transport operator in Umhlanga for drivers with a passenger PrDP. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

Must-haves

Patient and friendly with passengers
Clean driving and criminal record
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

Extra points for

Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Tour coach experience with charters
Fluent in more than one language
