Code 10 Crane Truck Driver (Building Supplies) – Permanent

You'll run local delivery routes around Germiston for a furniture retailer, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a furniture retailer on the Germiston side of Gauteng. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route

• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Friendly and professional with customers

• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Home every night
• Delivery incentive per completed route

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
