Job Description

Customers across Rosslyn wait on your truck, so a building-supplies merchant needs someone reliable behind the wheel. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a building-supplies merchant on the Rosslyn side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route

You'll need

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Clean driving record
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Nice if you have

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Speaking local languages on township routes
Code 14 licence (a step up)
