Job Description

Customers across Burgersfort wait on your truck, so a waste management contractor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Burgersfort-based, with most of your time spent at a waste management contractor.

The work, day to day

Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

Must-haves

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Helpful, not essential

Speaking local languages on township routes
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
