Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a building-supplies merchant in Cape Town CBD. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Cape Town CBD (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What your day looks like

Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets

Must-haves

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Honest with cash and customer goods
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
