Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Cape Town CBD pays for. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads

What you need

Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

Extra points for

Defensive driving course
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
