Job Description

Customers across Fourways wait on your truck, so a building-supplies merchant needs someone reliable behind the wheel. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Fourways-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies merchant. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the load against invoices before signing it out

You'll need

Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Honest with cash and customer goods
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Clean driving record
