Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck)

You'll run local delivery routes around Pretoria East for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a waste management contractor on the Pretoria East side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit

• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• Clean driving record

• Speaking local languages on township routes
• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Home every night
• Company-paid PrDP renewals

• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
