Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Brakpan pays for. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work, day to day

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip

Must-haves

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Medically fit, including eyesight

Nice if you have

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Clean record on a telematics driving score

What you get

Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
Paid PrDP renewal
Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips

Applying, step by step

Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: passport copy for cross-border work, dangerous goods certificate if you have one plus Code 14 licence card and PrDP (both sides copied).
Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 9 working days, usually by phone.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Brakpan.

Applying is free. Nobody from How2Apply will ever ask you to pay for anything to get this job.

Before you hit apply

Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
Expect a driving test with a real truck. Arrive rested and do your pre-trip check out loud so the assessor sees it.
