Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a furniture retailer in Gqeberha. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Gqeberha-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer.

What your day looks like

Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Keep empties and returns separate for credit

Must-haves

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Helpful, not essential

Speaking local languages on township routes
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Code 14 licence (a step up)
