Job Description

Customers across Harrismith wait on your truck, so a frozen food distributor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

What your day looks like

Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away

Must-haves

Honest with cash and customer goods
Clean driving record
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

Extra points for

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
