Job Description

Customers across Montague Gardens wait on your truck, so a frozen food distributor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Montague Gardens (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

You'll need

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Friendly and professional with customers

Nice if you have

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
